Transitioning from AI-Created to AI-Enabled - Part 1

ai-enabled loyb podcast

Are you finding AI helpful or distracting in your business?

No matter how helpful and time-saving AI (or any tool and technology) can be, it can also run the risk of becoming a bright shiny object and distraction without the right intentionality and strategic focus.

So, how do we leverage AI in a meaningful way that allows us to become more efficient, productive, and increase quality without losing our focus (or our brand voice) in the process?

In this episode, I'm diving deep into how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing the business world! AI isn't just a trend—it's a game-changer. From simplifying tasks to automating processes and scaling operations, AI is the ultimate sidekick for business growth. Not to mention, reducing waste.

But it's not just about plugging in any random AI tool and hoping for the best. I emphasize the importance of customizing AI solutions to fit a business's unique personality and goals. By investing in premium AI solutions, businesses can stand out from the crowd while maintaining top-notch content.

I share the very big difference between what I call "AI-created" and "AI-enabled" and what to watch out for to avoid adding to the noise online and getting penalized by Google for doing so, plus:

  • The 2 (and only 2) use cases for AI to ensure its adding value
  • Tips to automate and streamline with AI, not add complexity
  • Tools that bring out the best in your content and simplify repurposing
  • How to maintain and even strengthen your brand voice when using AI
  • What NOT to do if you want to avoid damaging your brand
  • Things you may not realize AI can do that will save you time and money

 Strategic AI Adoption

AI can play a supportive role without overshadowing human creativity. In my experience, I approach AI as an enabler rather than a sole creator of content. This means using AI to initiate drafts, suggest edits, and generate ideas, while ensuring that final editorial decisions remain in human hands. This preserves the authenticity and unique voice of a brand.

For instance, AI tools can propose topics based on trends or outline new articles, but it's the human touch in editing and contribution that imbues the content with depth and authenticity. This way, your content retains its distinctiveness and avoids sounding generic, a common pitfall in relying solely on AI-generated text.

If you are curious about how to integrate AI right now into your business operations, here are some areas to start with:

  1. Content Repurposing: Leverage AI to repurpose existing content, uncover new angles, and breathe new life into old posts/blogs or other content. You will be surprised to find how easily content can be reimagined without you (or your team) having to start from scratch.
  2. Customer Interaction: Implement AI-powered chat features to provide personalized assistance and guide users to relevant resources swiftly. This will free up time and keep you away from those flow--disrupting customer support tasks.

Automating Routine Tasks: Many tools now have native AI integrations. Explore AI capabilities within your existing tools to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up resources for more high-value activities that demand attention.

Selecting AI Tools

Selecting the right AI tools is paramount. Avoid relying on free, generic versions that produce bland content by pulling information from the web. Instead, invest in premium AI tools that can be customized and trained to align with your brand's voice and standards. While this may require upfront investment, maintaining your brand's uniqueness and earning the trust of your audience is invaluable.

Further, i
t's not about having the latest tools; it's about utilizing the right tools effectively and consistently. When used strategically, AI can serve as a powerful ally, empowering businesses to accomplish more while staying true to their core values.

Understanding AI's role in business is pivotal, but always remember—a tool should enhance your work, not define it. By embracing AI enablement, businesses can reach new levels of efficiency and innovation, propelling them toward sustainable growth and success.
